Future

This is a line for odds posted in advance of the winners of various major events, including the Superbowl, the World Series, the NBA championship and others.

Straight Wager

This is a single bet on one outcome. A wager placed on one side or total for a single event or game.

Parlays

It’s a bet on the result of 2 or more sporting events. Payouts are a lot higher than those of a straight bet. But all your picks must win in order for the bet to be a winner. If there is a tie, the bet will revert to the following number adjusting the payout accordingly.

Teasers

A teaser is a selection of two or more teams in one wager in which the point spread or total is adjusted in your favor. The number of teams selected and the number of points selected determines the payout odds. If one of the selections loses the whole bet is a loss.

A ‘tie’ or ‘no action’ and a ‘win’ on a 2 team teaser shall constitute a ‘no action’ wager.

A ‘tie’ or a ‘no action’ and a ‘loss’ on a two team teaser shall constitute a ‘losing’ wager.

Ties on a 3 or more team teaser shall revert to the next lowest betting bracket for pay-off: for example: A 5 team teaser with one tie becomes a 4 team teaser.

If Bets

If Bets are types of wagers that allow the selection of two picks (sides or totals) which are considered two straight bets based on conditions. The first bet has to win in order for the second bet to have action. An If Bet allows the option to potentially use winnings from the first wager on the second bet. There are two types: ‘If Win Only’ and ‘If Win, Tie or Cancel’.

Reverse

Reverse bets are essentially two straight bets and the total amount of the reverse will be the amount of each straight bet. It is a type of bet that contains two If Win, Tie or Cancel bets which may be sides or totals. If the initial reverse bet wins, ties or cancels the second reverse bet will have action; if your second reverse bet wins, ties or cancels you will also have action on your initial reverse bet.

Juice

This is the profit margin or what you must pay extra for every hundred units. For example, ‘-110 lines’ have a ten percent juice and so you must pay $110.00 (one hundred and ten dollars) for every $100.00 (one hundred dollars) you want to win.

Favorite

This is the team or entry expected to win the event. The quoted odds reflect the extent to which the choice is favored. It is expressed with a minus sign (-) before the odds; the higher the odds, the more favorite the pick.

Underdog
